Understanding Psychology Book is what is used to guide this pacing.
Who better to ask what it is like being a teenager or young adult in today's world but a teenager or young adult? For the next 4 days you will have the students analyze pg. 84 - 117 and answer the questions at the end of each section, they can work as a group, each student will be expected to give their assessment if whether the text book got it right or not in each section. If they agree or disagree they have to provide a reason for it in their notebook. They will use these notes for the class assignment taking place on day 4.
As they read the chapters they will be taking notes on each section.
At the end of the unit, on day 4, the teacher will have them defend their answer.
The question will be simple. Did the section over "insert section here" get it right for teenagers and young adults. Using their notes the students will choose a side. One side is yes, one side of the room is no, and the middle of the room is I don't know. The teacher will randomly call on students and they will defend their answers. The students in the middle of the room will get another chance to choose yes or no, the students who chose yes or no will also get a chance to re-choose an answer, then once they choose again, those who moved will have to defend.
